Yarn Bombing in the Downtown

A community came together to bring a little colour and artistry to the Downtown.

Recently a post went out on Facebook asking the fibre artists in Prince Albert for a donation of square for a secret art project.

It didn't take long for the square to start piling up in our office.  Soon we had over 100 squares donated from generous people who used yarn from their own stash and time from their busy lives - to help with this project.

With the help of a fibre friend from the Spinners and Weavers group we hung each square to the railing in front of the Arts Centre.  

What a colourful addition to the September Downtown Art Walk and to Culture Days - September 28-30.

While you are out and about in Downtown Prince Albert be sure to check out the happy display and take a selfie.  Stop in at the Arts Centre and check out what classes are happening this fall and learn a new skill.
